GWD extending food assistance for the fire victims(cont.)
On February 13, 2015, about 90 families were rendered homeless as a result of fire that ravaged the residents of Barangay Sto. Cristo, Guagua, Pampanga. The fire lasted for 4 hours which started at around 11:30am and finally out at around 3:30pm.
The Guagua Water District assisted in the firefighting activities. The Engineering and Operations Division headed by DM Vicente Alvin C. Suba, deployed as response team on the scene.
As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Guagua Water District headed by the Board of Directors, Atty. Ricardo M. Sampang, Atty. Diosdado M. Rongcal, Marcelino C. Jiao and Divina D. Tulio, General Manager Eduardo P. Rodriguez with Divisions Heads, Lynaida L. Mercado, Eduardo T. Paulino, Vicente Alvin C. Suba and other staff, Rudy A. Bello, Rowenal L. Quiroz, Marc-King V. Garcia and Rizaldy Cura prepared and conducted feeding program for affected families in the evacution center with the coordination of DSWD officials and employees.
Assisted by the Barangay Captain Alan Parino, and some Kagawad official, the group proceeded on the location of the incident and witnessed the aftermath.
